   This skill governs the character’s ability to forge new armor or repair damaged armor. This skill can only be used with the proper tools and a forge, if either one is not present the skill can not be used. This skill is averaged with either the character’s Machining or Blacksmithing skill, which ever is higher. The averaged number can not exceed the higher of the two skills being averaged. A critical failure means that the piece being worked on was destroyed. If a non-critical failure occurs then twice the material is used to produce or repair the item.
